Just message us and we'll walk you through it. 🀍

We appreciate the opportunity to serve you better. **Please do not wait until after your stay to mention a cleanliness issue. Notify us immediately, and we will assist right away. **Asian Lady Beetles (look like ladybugs) are in season and constantly around. We have consistent pest control and a dedicated cleaner. All cabins in our area experience these bugs due to being in the woods. If you don't like bugs, wooded areas may not be best for you.** For now, please review the following information to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time. Contact us directly if you have any questions. How to reach us: The easiest way to reach us is through Airbnb. If something needs immediate attention, please message or call through the app. Cabin Rules Please share with everyone in your group. 1. Have fun, but be respectful of our home and neighbors. We value our maintenance team and they work hard to remedy appliance situations as soon as possible. *Should you experience a maintenance issue over the weekend or during a holiday, ONLY emergencies will take precedence. All other maintenance issues will be resolved Monday or the next business day if possible. *If cleaners charge extra fees due to your stay, fees will be passed on to you and expected to be paid. There are ice trays for your use. *When putting trash outside, always put it in the bear bin and ensure lid is closed. *Sitting on any furniture with wet clothing will cause damage and result in replacement fees. Please refrain from doing so. *Jumping on beds will cause damage to beds, bed frames, and box springs and result in replacement fees. Please refrain from doing so. *For best cooking results and to maintain the kitchenware, please do not use metal utensils in pots or pans as they will cause scratches and damage. Metal utensils are provided for the outdoor charcoal grill only. Safety Please share this manual with each person staying with you. Wildlife: You are in the Smoky Mountains and surrounded by wooded areas. Bears and other wildlife are not uncommon. Please practice all measures of safety with wildlife and never leave open food in areas where animals can access it. πŸ›’ Essentials nearby
❓ Before you call β€” quick fixesβ€Ί
My door code isn't workingβ€Ί
Re-enter it slowly and press the checkmark/lock button to finish. Your code and any backup entry details are in your arrival info β€” and we're one message away if you're ever standing at the door. πŸ’›
The WiFi is down or slowβ€Ί
Find the router (often by the TV or in a closet), unplug it, wait a full 30 seconds, then plug it back in β€” the lights will blink and it takes about 2 minutes to fully come back online. Reconnect using the network and password in your essentials. If it keeps dropping, turn on WiFi Calling on your phone and message us.
The TV won't connect or there's no pictureβ€Ί
Press Input or Source on the remote and pick the right HDMI. For streaming, open the app and sign in with your own account (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+). If the screen's frozen, unplug the TV for 30 seconds and plug it back in. Your WiFi name and password are in the essentials.
The TV works but there's no soundβ€Ί
Check that the soundbar or receiver is powered on and the TV isn't muted. In the TV's Settings β†’ Sound, make sure the audio output is set to the soundbar (not the TV speakers). The soundbar remote is usually in the media console.
A streaming app won't play or log inβ€Ί
Sign in with your own account β€” we don't keep logins on the TVs. If an app is stuck or won't load, close and reopen it, or unplug the TV (or streaming stick) for 30 seconds and plug it back in.
The projector or theater room isn't workingβ€Ί
Make sure the projector and the receiver are both powered on β€” there's often a power strip or a wall switch. Give the projector a minute to warm up, and check it's set to the right input/source. If it still won't come up, message us and we'll get someone on it.
The remote isn't workingβ€Ί
Point it straight at the device. If it's unresponsive, it usually just needs fresh batteries β€” check the kitchen drawer. Still stuck? Message us and we'll sort it out.
The hot tub jets aren't workingβ€Ί
Most of our jets are the twist kind β€” gently rotate the face of each jet (like turning a dial) until it opens up. Also make sure the air valves and diverter on the top rim are open, and that the pump is on high. Tip: many tubs have lower pressure when every jet runs at once, so turning the diverter toward one side boosts the pressure to half the jets. Still nothing after that? Message us and we'll take a look.
The hot tub has a strong smellβ€Ί
That's usually just the water off-gassing after being closed up under the cover. Lift the cover all the way off and let it air out for 10–15 minutes before you get in β€” it clears right up. If it still smells off after that, message us and we'll check the water chemistry.
The hot tub water is foamy or cloudyβ€Ί
Foam usually comes from lotions, sunscreen, or soap (please never soap in the tub!). A quick rinse before you hop in keeps the water clear. If it's really foamy, let us know and we'll treat it.
The hot tub isn't heating upβ€Ί
Keep the cover on whenever you're not in it β€” that's what holds the heat. After the cover's been off a while it can take a few hours to recover, so it's normal to wait a bit. The temperature is preset, so there's no need to touch the controls. Still cool after several hours? Message us and we'll send someone to dial it in.
The pool isn't warmβ€Ί
Pool heating is available as an add-on β€” just message us and we'll switch it on (it takes a few hours to come up to temperature). If your stay already includes a heated pool and it isn't warming, let us know and we'll get it sorted.
The heat or A/C isn't workingβ€Ί
On the thermostat, set the mode (Heat or Cool) and a target temperature, then give it a few minutes. Please keep it between about 65–75Β°F. Some homes also have a seasonal fireplace that's off during warmer months.
The fireplace won't turn onβ€Ί
Gas fireplaces have a wall switch, usually just to the side of the hearth β€” flip that on. Some also have a remote on the mantel. Heads-up: for safety, fireplaces are turned off from about May through November. If it's the cold season and it still won't light, message us.
One room is too hot or coldβ€Ί
Larger homes have more than one thermostat zone β€” set the one for that area. Closing the vents in unused rooms pushes more air where you actually are. Then give it 20–30 minutes to catch up before adjusting again.
A breaker tripped / part of the house lost powerβ€Ί
Find the breaker panel β€” usually the garage, laundry room, or an outside wall. Flip the tripped switch fully OFF, then back ON. If it trips again, unplug whatever caused it (space heaters and hair dryers are common culprits).
There's no hot waterβ€Ί
After heavy use it just needs time to recover β€” give it 20–30 minutes. If it's still cold, check that the water heater's breaker is on, and message us if you'd like a hand.
The grill won't lightβ€Ί
Always open the lid before lighting (never light it closed β€” gas can build up). For a gas grill, make sure the propane tank valve is turned all the way open, then use the igniter or a long lighter. If the propane's low, message us and we'll get you a refill.
The fridge is beepingβ€Ί
That's almost always a water-filter reminder, not a problem. Press and hold the alarm/filter button for a few seconds to reset it.
The ice maker isn't making iceβ€Ί
A fresh batch takes about 24 hours to build up, and the little arm inside the bin needs to be down (not lifted up). If it's been a full day with the freezer set cold and still no ice, message us and we'll check it.
The garbage disposal is jammedβ€Ί
Switch it off first (never reach inside). There's a small reset button on the underside of the unit β€” press it, then try again. If it just hums, message us.
The washer or dryer won't runβ€Ί
Make sure the door or lid is fully closed and latched, and clean the dryer's lint trap. Try the cycle again. If it won't start, won't drain, or stops mid-cycle, please don't force it β€” message us and we'll take a look.
Where are batteries, light bulbs & extra supplies?β€Ί
Most homes keep these in a kitchen drawer or the laundry area. If you can't find what you need, just message us β€” we'll point you right to it. πŸ’›
We're running low on toilet paper or suppliesβ€Ί
We stock every home with starter supplies to get you through the first day or two, so on longer stays it's completely normal to need a few extras. The nearest store is a short drive away β€” and if getting out isn't easy, just tell us what you're short on and we'll do our best to help. πŸ’›
A smoke or CO alarm is chirpingβ€Ί
That's usually a low-battery chirp. Please don't disable it β€” just message us and we'll take care of it right away.
The game room or arcade isn't workingβ€Ί
Most machines are set to free play β€” check that the power strip or switch behind them is on. If a screen's dark, flip the power and give it a moment to boot up. Still down? Message us and we'll sort it.
I keep seeing bugs or crittersβ€Ί
Our mountain homes get the occasional visitor despite our cleaning team's best efforts. Keeping food sealed and trash in the outdoor bins helps a lot. If anything needs attention, just message us and we'll handle it right away.
I left something behindβ€Ί
No worries β€” message us within a few days of checkout and we'll track it down and coordinate return shipping. We'll do the legwork; you just cover postage.
It's freezing outside β€” anything I should do?β€Ί
During a hard freeze, help us protect the pipes: let the faucets drip slightly, and open the cabinet doors under sinks so warm air can reach the pipes. Thanks for helping keep the home in great shape! 🧊
